Adding Lettering to an Existing Stone

Adding lettering to an existing stone is called an inscription.  This need, most often, occurs when there is a pre-existing family headstone which requires the addition of a name and/or date. It is common for us to “match” the existing inscription in both style and wording although this is not a necessity.

Work is done in cemetery and it is an ideal opportunity for us to assess whether the existing stone or base requires any additional work (cleaning, pointing, etc.) as it is frequently the last time it will be attended to.
